Areas that are located north of Ataturk airport, Bahcesehir, Bagcilar and Basaksehir are also ideal investment area, not only close to Ataturk airport but also a short distance from Istanbul’s new third airport in the Arnavutkoy district, scheduled to open its first phase in 2018 which will give Istanbul a huge influx of visitors being one of the largest airports in the world when fully completed. Real estate in Istanbul in these areas is seeing a huge boom, all centrally located in what is set to be the new Istanbul for the future, with similar developments if luxury modern complexes often attached to shopping mall and hotels and featuring an extensive range of on-site facilities.
On the Asian side, looking for property for sale in Istanbul is similar to the European side with various areas to choose from, though most overseas buyers tend to head for the central Kadikoy area, the ancient and cultural centre of this side the city, often referred to as the Taksim of Asia, or areas close by for the easy access to the European side by the three Istanbul bridges, the underwater tunnel, or the many regular ferry services that cross the Bosphorus every day.
